THIS as Opposed to THAT?! [This post is under construction.]

Top: Actress Colette Wilde as Evelyn Morley Finsbury in 'The Circus of Horrors' (1960)
Bottom: The infamous bat, rat, spider, (crab) from 'The Angry Red Planet' (1960)

Who would have thought I would in sheer horror hide behind the theater seats at the sight of the one, but not at the other!

UPDATE: On Friday, July 17,2026, I posted the following on the Retro 1950s-1960s Sci-fi Fan Club Facebook Group's post by Floss Boss' about 'The Angry Red Planet' (1959). Along with the accompanying still from 'The Circus of Horrors', this is what I wrote:

"When I saw 'The Angry Red Planet' as a very impressionable kid, it was doubled billed with 'The Circus of Horrors' which screened first. Somehow, Evelyn Morley Finsbury's opening reveal in that British horror import terrified me more than did any of the fantastical monsters on Mars. I literally cowered behind the seats until the Sidney Pink production got underway! Go figure...

I'll never "Look for a Star" or at Mars quite the same way again.
😉"

A little later in the day while responding to Sean Cassidy's comment that his father Ted Cassidy was indeed the voice of the Martian (Billy Curtis played the Martian in the two live action scenes of the creature) I quipped about expecting waiting for a future space mission to discovery where the flag of Brooklyn was planted. I followed it with this image I created:

In the name of Brooklyn.
